The majority of BCHE events and activities are reserved for families who choose to join this homeschool organization, but we host some public events like these throughout the year.
We have an annual Science & History Project Fair each spring that is open to all area homeschoolers. This is open to homeschooled students, ages 5-19. Once the event is posted and you register your student, you'll receive the list of either Science Project guidelines, or History Project guidelines, per your choice. Watch this page for details, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come spend a whole day playing Legos with us! We have building races, contests, crafts, and more...all with Legos! This is open to the public for an entry fee; free for BCHE members.
Info Meetings & Mentoring
& Vendor Fair
We have regularly scheduled monthly meetings for parents, and frequently meet with potential homeschoolers at their request. We also host Homeschool 101 meetings once or twice per year.
Each summer, we bring speakers and vendors to Abilene for the benefit of home educating families throughout this area. Email email@example.com for more information.
Safety City is a right-of-passage event for THIRD grade age students in the Big Country! Abilene firefighters and police officers will teach them about fire, traffic, bike, and pedestrian safety at the kid-sized city built just for that purpose. This event is open and offered at no charge to all area homeschooled THIRD graders (only), but you MUST be registered to attend. Click for more info and to register.
