BCHE Academy 2024/2025

It's time for another awesome year of Academy Classes! We're so excited for another year of learning and enjoying time with friends! We would LOVE for your family to join us this year--come start each week with us as we have fun together, learning in community.

If you are a member, click below for full details and to register. Not a member? JOIN TODAY so you can access ALL the things, including BCHE Academy classes!

Classes are offered for BCHE member kiddos, ages 4-18. These are drop off classes, and  (except under certain circumstances) only registered students, teachers, staff, and scheduled volunteers are allowed on campus during our class day, to help ensure safety and keep things running smoothly on Mondays. There is an Academy Service requirement for all participating families, unless they choose to pay the Academy Service Opt-Out fee--this is separate from the service requirement that is part of Standard Membership and not covered by the Non-Volunteer Membership Option. Reading all Academy policies (see links below) before registration is a family responsibility. Your registration is your acknowledgement of and agreement to abide said policies.

Academy classes are meant as enrichment opportunities to add to your own homeschool plans for your family. Group learning one day (or two days) per week allows students to enjoy learning with friends, share ideas and experiences, sharpen interpersonal skills, and practice being in a community environment that helps to prepare them for life. All Academy teachers and administrators are background-checked, and teach with the BCHE Faith Statement as a foundation. There is a $25/semester registration fee per student.

Our DISCOVER PROGRAM is for older fours through age seven.

Our Discoverers are divided into classes according to age and skill-level, all following the same track of language, science, and STEM discovery.

Program: Mondays, 8:45am - 1:00pm (one fee covers all morning classes)

The Discover Program is designed to help our youngest learners build a sense of community, while providing skill-sharpening consistency and friendship-building experiences!

Your child will discover language, math, science, outdoor learning, music, art, history, geography, logic/reasoning, guest speakers, group presentations, and so much more!

Our EXPLORE PROGRAM is for ages 8-10. Explorer students start the morning in group learning, then split into individual classes to continue their history, literature, math reasoning, geography, foreign language, and science explorations. After lunch, individual class options are offered on an a la carte basis for interested families.

Program: Mondays, 8:45am - 1:00pm ( one fee covers all morning classes, with optional a la carte classes offered in afternoon)

All Explorer students will be learning Spanish together this year, and will explore leadership, artistic, and cultural geography opportunities, as they sharpen their confidence and community awareness.

BCHE Academy classes for our Middle and High School students are all offered on an a la carte basis. so that families can register for just one class, or join us all day on Mondays, as best fits their needs and schedule. Each class is priced individually, and textbooks and supplies are generally provided.

If there is an hour between classes for which a student has registered, they may be picked up and returned by a parent, or can be registered for a Service Hour, where they will assist with special projects and needs to help bless our homeschool and/or local community. This option will be offered in place of the Study Hall option we've offered in the past.

Class options for Middle School: Destination Imagination, Science Mysteries, Math Logic & Reasoning, Art, Drama II, Sign Language, Skit Lit, Book Club, Algebra I, Texas History, Ancient Civilizations, etc
